Power
cable 0.6/1 kV
PVC-insulated,
according to VDE 0271 |
| |
|
|
|

|
 |
Applications |
These power cables insulated with thermoplastic PVC are used in power plants, industrial and switching installations, in secondary distribution networks and for the needs of power supply companies. These cables are preferentially used in outdoor applications, for indoor installation and in cable ducts as well as for outdoor and underwater applications provided mechanical damage is not anticipated.
Characteristic features
Sheath
colour black, resistant to UV radiation.
No
sealing ends are required for installation
in dry rooms.
Installation
Notes
The cables shall be laid and operated such that the characteristics
are not impaired.
The current carrying
capacity for operating conditions
as specified according to VDE 0298
part 2 shall be observed, such as
grouping with other cables, external
sources of heat, specific resistance
to heat from the ground etc.
Installation
on firm and smooth floors of the
ditch, free of stones and embedding
in sand or soil free of stones.
Attention
shall also be paid to tectonic movements,
oscillations, vibration, tensile
forces, bending radius and the temperature
range for installation, as well as
short-circuit currents, especially
with single-core cables.
Protection
against mechanical damage and chemical
effects.
Refer to DIN
VDE 0298 part 1 for additional information.
Durability
Chemical resistance of PVC refer also to the Table of Technical
Guidelines.
