High-flexibility PVC control cable for trailing chain applications |
| |
|
|
|

|
 |
Applications |
These high-flexibility PVC-insulated
control cables are designed for applications
where cable flexibility is needed.
These cables are used for instrumentation,
control and connecting of control units
in mechanical tool construction, conveyor
and assembly lines, production lines,
in plant and equipment construction,
in robotics and logistics systems,
industrial handling; any areas where
continuous bending loads for free movement
without tensile load and without forced
movement in the cable trailing chain
is required.
These cables are suitable for installation
in dry and moist rooms, not however
for outdoor or underground installation.
Characteristic features
First-class
mechanical properties and high flexibility
of the cable are optimised by the
design and construction of short
optimum pitch, lay-up without straight
centre core, separation over the
outer layer and use of special PVC
compounds for conductor insulation
and sheath.
Installation
and identification of individual
conductors made easier by the imprint
of sequential numbering.
Installation Notes
Correct installation of the cable, assembly and operational set-up
are prerequisites for the service life of the cable.
Allowance shall
be made for acceleration, traversing
rate, traverse distance, bending
radius and ambient air temperature
in the trailing chain application,
refer also to the installation notes
given in the Technical Guidelines.
Durability
The PVC sheath is largely resistant to oils (depending on the
type of oil), excluding VDE 0472 part 803.
Chemical resistance
for PVC refer also to the Table
of Technical Guidelines.
