Harmonised rubber-sheathed flexible cable according to VDE 0282 part 4, 450/750 V |
| |
|
|
|

|
 |
Applications |
These harmonised rubber-sheathed flexible
cables are intended for applications
of medium load in dry, moist and wet
rooms, for outdoor equipment such in
agricultural, industrial applications
and locations with associated fire
hazards. These cables are also used
for large cooking vessels, hot-plates,
hand-held lighting fixtures, electric
tools such as circular saws, drills,
handyman tools as well as for portable
motors or machinery at building sites
and in agricultural operations etc.;
also used for permanent installation,
e.g. on plaster, in temporary buildings
and living quarters; approved for direct
installation to components in hoisting
equipment, machinery etc.. These cables
may be operated in protected permanent
installations in conduit or in equipment
as armature connecting cable for motors
with a rated voltage of up to 1000
V alternating current or a direct current
voltage of 750 V, earthed. Applications
in rail cars with an operating voltage
of 900 V, earthed, is permitted.
These cables are approved according
to VDE 0165 for use in locations with
an associated explosion hazard.
Characteristic features
Resistant
to oil, ozone, UV radiation and weathering.
Note
These cables are not suitable for use in trailing chains subjected
to mechanical loads, for mining applications or in quarries.
An
application of these cables is permitted in rooms and
outdoors for ambient air temperatures
between - 25 °C and + 60 °C.
The
connection between control unit and
a machine such as a crane or hoisting
equipment, or between control station
and production machinery is also
considered as being such an application
if the cable length does not normally
exceed 10 m. Longer lengths are only
permitted for a permanent installation.
