Applications |
Installation cables with electrostatic screen (St) are used for optimum data transmission in instrumentation and control engineering for process control and computers in power plants.
Short and different pitch lengths for the pairs within a bundle guarantee good crosstalk attenuation values and ensure the transmission of analogue and digital signals up to frequencies of 10 kHz. The static screen of plastic coated metal foil protects the circuits from external electrical interference, for compliance with capacitance unbalance specifications and to assure an exact pulse transmission.
In accordance with new environmental regulations, these cables are used for control systems in fumes gas desulphurisation units in incinerators as well as for upgrading older installations of power supply companies. These data transmission cables are suitable for permanent installation in dry and moist rooms, refer also to VDE 0800 part 1.
Characteristic features
The optimised
design and construction of these
data transmission cables ensures
compatibility with the well-known
ABB control systems DECONTIC® and
PROCONTIC®.
Used
in particular in the field of industrial
electronics and power and lighting
engineering.
Special
PVC-insulation and sheath compounds
guarantee first-class mechanical
properties and high flexibility of
the cable.
0.5 mm2
: suitable for Teumi-Point wiring
due to the 7-strand wire construction.
Durability
The PVC sheath is largely resistant to oils (depending on the type of oil),
excluding VDE 0472 part 803.
Chemical resistance for PVC refer also to the Table of Technical Guidelines.
Recommended for electromagnetic compatibility
