Applications |
These twisted pair and screened PVC-insulated
data transmission cables are used in
instrumentation and control engineering
where low current consumptions are
required and transmission of the data
must be continuous, e.g. in industrial
electronics, computers, information
and transmission systems, office machines
and precision mechanics. These cables
are ideal for voice communication in
telecommunications systems, for pulse,
signal and data transmission applications,
as well as public address systems and
two-way intercoms as interface connections
V 24, RS 232 and similar, i.e. any
areas where high-frequency interference
can occur.
The twisted pairs with optimum pair and
layer pitch prevent mutual interaction
from neighbouring conductor circuits.
The overall braided screen, consisting
of tinned copper wires with a visible
coverage of approx. 85% provides protection
against external pulses and ensures an
interference-free transmission.
These cables are also suitable for flexible
and permanent installation in dry and
moist rooms.
Characteristic features
• The design
and construction optimizes the facility
to provide more conductors with relatively
smaller outer diameters.
• Special PVC-insulated
conductor and sheath compounds guarantee
first-class mechanical properties
and high flexibility of the cable.
Durability
• The PVC-insulated sheath
is largely resistant to oils (depending
on the type of oil), excluding VDE
0472 part 803.
• Chemical resistance
for PVC refer also to the Table
of Technical Guidelines.
